Most of us experience some kind of difficulty in our sexual relationship at some point.  Sex therapy addresses these difficulties successfully, and improves your couple relationship along the way.  Sex therapy is used to resolve common problems such as:

  • loss of desire/interest
  • erectile difficulties
  • premature or delayed ejaculation
  • orgasmic difficulties
  • penetration difficulties (vaginismus)
  • painful intercourse (dyspareunia)
  • sexual phobias
  • impact of illness or disability

Sex therapy is about learning to have pleasurable, satisfying sex in a loving relationship.  Sex therapy (or ‘psychosexual therapy’) uses the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help you resolve sexual problems.   ‘Cognitive’ means an emphasis on your thoughts and feelings, and ‘behavioural’ means a treatment plan made up of exercises for you to do in the privacy of your own home.

Cambridge Sex Therapy is provided by Pam Henderson, a fully qualified and highly experienced sex and relationship therapist.   She has worked with Relate since 2002 and is a member of the British Association for Sexual and Relationship Therapy.
