Sarah Maddocks

I qualified as a counsellor in 1992 having completed a five year Certificate in Counselling and Groupwork. Since then, I have worked as a counsellor within the NHS and for many years, I was part of the counselling team at Centre 33; a service for young people in Cambridge.

Up until mid 2010, I was director of a counselling charity in Cambridge; a role which I held for nearly 17 years.

Having decided to set up in private practice, I joined the Beechwood Complementary Medical Centre in August 2010. My approach to counselling is integrative and I strongly believe that the counsellor should be led by the needs of the client. I believe that I create a safe and friendly space for clients to explore and deal with some very difficult issues. I am happy to work with individuals of all ages (14 – 94!) and at any stage of their life.

I am based at the Beechwood Practice on Monday afternoons and the cost of each session is £40.
