Ann O'Brien
I first came to the Alexander Technique in the early 1990s, having suffered back pain for many years. After unsuccessfully trying many forms of treatment, the Technique was a revelation to me.
I discovered that it was my habits and harmful patterns of tension that were causing my back problems. I learned how to look after myself through Alexander lessons.
I was so impressed with the Technique that I left my former career in marketing to undertake a three-year training course at one of the foremost training schools in the world – the Constructive Teaching Centre in London.
I have been successfully teaching the Technique in the Cambridge area for a number of years, to a diverse range of people. I am a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT).
