Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a system of manipulative medicine that places its chief emphasis upon the diagnosis and treatment of structural and mechanical derangements of the whole body.

Osteopaths treat a wide variety of problems - acute and chronic musculo-skeletal pains and strains of all areas of the body. This is done after a thorough examination. Osteopathy is particularly good at managing chronic or long-standing conditions.

Osteopaths also treat problems that may appear to be of a non-mechanical nature, such as headaches or referred pains, but only if a mechanical cause can be found.

Cranial osteopathy is a very gentle technique that is mainly used on babies and children. It can help to relieve colic, sleeplessness, glue ear, and in some cases hyperactivity.
