DITI is unique in its capability to show physiological (functional) abnormalities and can graphically display and record the patients ‘subjective’ feeling of pain by objectively displaying the changes in skin surface temperature that accompany pain states.
BREAST SCREENING. DITI is a 15-minute non-invasive test of physiology including a full consultation. It is a valuable procedure for alerting your doctor/physician to changes that can indicate early stage active breast disease. DITI detects the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology, whether it is cancer, fibrocystic disease, an infection or a vascular disease. These activities create an unusual thermal pattern. This pattern is shown on an image report accompanied by a full medical report and can be given to your physician/GP. They can then plan accordingly and lay out a careful programme to further diagnose and/or monitor you during and after any treatment. ALL WOMEN can benefit from DITI breast screening. It is especially appropriate for younger women (25 – 50) whose denser breast tissue makes it difficult for mammography to be effective. Also for women of all ages who, for many reasons, are unable or unwilling to undergo routine mammography. This test can provide a ‘clinical marker’ to the doctor or mammographer that a specific area of the breast needs closer examination. It is also safe for women with implants. Every woman has her own unique thermal print, rather like a fingerprint. In order to establish a baseline pattern, the initial scan study is followed up 90 days later to assess if there are any changes in the thermal pattern. If there are no changes then the patient may be placed on the annual scan programme. Should there be some relevant differences then the patient, subject to the degree of change, will be advised of the next course of action. DITI is not a replacement for anatomical breast testing, but is a valuable adjunct to those modalities. Active breast abnormalities will be detected earlier, up to 8 years before Mammography. Mammography will detect a growth when it is about the size of a small grape (8.000.000 cells) and this will have taken some years to reach that size. DITI will detect the neovascular (development of new blood vessels) activity in year 1 when there are only few cells to deal with. Early detection and relevant intervention is essential to increase the chances of combating this awful disease. It is essential to use all the facilities at your disposal to provide ‘peace of mind’ not just for you but for your family too. The fee for a breast scan is only £175.00 and this includes the 90-day follow-up study. A medical report and image report is provided in both cases. The annual scan takes place 1 year after the 90-day follow up and the fee for this is £100.00 per year (one visit per annum). | ||||||||||
