SarahSince qualifying in 1992, I have worked as a counsellor for nearly 20 years either in the voluntary sector, in the NHS and since mid 2010, in private practice at the Beechwood Practice.  I predominantly work with individuals of all ages but in the past, I have specialised in working with young adults (ie. 15-25 years) as I was a Counsellor at Centre 33 in Cambridge for 16 years.  During this time, I was a director of another local counselling charity and held this role for 17 years.

My approach to counselling is integrative and I like to think that I create a safe and friendly environment for people to talk about their difficulties, learn about themselves and explore any options that may be available in helping to make their lives/situations more manageable.  No problem is too big or too small.  I have considerable experience of working within low self esteem, anxiety and depression, loss and grief, adjusting to various life stages, illness and relationship difficulties.

If you would like to find out more or to make an appointment for initial assessment, please email me: or telephone 01223 210367.

I work at The Beechwood Practice mainly on a Monday (afternoon and evening) but other times may be available.
