Kasia Neves


Kasia is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Counsellor. She is also a clinical supervisor, providing supervision to CBT practitioners. Kasia completed her PGDip in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies (CBT) at University of Reading; she also holds an MSc in Health Psychology from City University, London, BSc in Psychology, as well as a Diploma in Counselling. She is an accredited member of BABCP and BACP.

Kasia set up private practice in Cambridge after relocating here from London. She has 15 years experience of working in the NHS, in primary care mental health services. As a senior therapist she has vast clinical knowledge of working therapeutically with adults and young people presenting with a wide range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, panic, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), as well as other difficulties: low self-esteem, relationship problems, and long term health conditions (for example: chronic fatigue, IBS, coronary heart disease).

Kasia predominantly uses a CBT approach, recommended by NICE (The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) for the treatment of anxiety disorders, and depression, however she also draws upon counselling approaches, as well as Compassion Focused Therapy and mindfulness, in her clinical practice. Kasia is a member of Compassionate Mind Foundation. Kasia works with adults and young people, accepting referrals from private individuals, insurance companies and NHS health professionals, including GPs.
